Sorry to jump into a fred solely directed at Sol...

The answer you're obviously looking for is that he's a muslim... that his 'muslimness' made him do it: obviously because he was heard to shout Allah Akbar, or some other muslim sounding phrase that sounds ridiculous to us non-muslims. Clearly we need to watch out for muslims, because that's what they've been brainwashed into doing with the promise of ump**** muslim virgins in muslim heaven. How silly they are, those muslims, with their weird muslim praying (especially when they get their eyes rolling in the backs of their heads), they dress their muslim women up in muslim bedsheets for fear of getting their muslim peckers turned on, chop out their muslim women's clits, and if they weren't causing so much damage to us, these silly little muslims would be nothing but a source of amusement....

I suspect that's what a lot of people are thinking when they hear the word "Muslim".

What they don't usually stop to consiser is that there is a somewhat of a war going on between some of the muslim groups and the West lead by the US, UK and France, but also a 'coalition of the willing.' This war was started when the Western powers bombed and invaded a number of countries, causing hundreds of thousands of deaths - many times more than were killed in the outrageous shooting down of
The Malaysian Airlines Flight, maimed thousands of times more people than were taken to the hospital in the Skripal case, and caused an entire generation of people to grow up knowing nothing but war. Meanwhile, most of us are sitting very comfortably, relatively speaking.

This 'war' has not been an isolated experience - the artificial boundaries that the British set up early last century to demarcate our oil tycoon vassal states from one another are generally irrelevant to the highly mobile peoples within the region. Nor have we chosen our local allies in congruence with a deep understanding of who's who in region vis a vis each other. Nor are our chosen 'friends' because of any close alignment with Western values (our closest friend in the neighbourhood with whom we share formidable business and miltary relations with have finally relented in letting their bedsheet-wearing clitless women drive cars!). In fact, it seems that our choice of allies has more to do with two interconnected considerations: 1) how can our elites make the most money, and 2) How do we disrupt the activities and interests of our competitors who also have interests in the region (eg. Soviet Union/Russia and Iran) so that our elites can make more money. Our own enemies are even our friends when they are also our competitors' enemy. Lump on the cash and weapons.

Now lets look at things from their perspective... those wiley self-detonating muslims.

They live under a lot of tyrannical regimes, and it is obvious to them that the West props them up. The ones that aren't being propped up are constantly being attacked, one after another. The death and destruction is immense. There is huge momentum to get the f*** out, but nobody in the world wants them. They end up being piled into refugee camps, making dangerous journeys and are met with the likes if Nigel Farrage telling everyone that if it weren't for the likes of these refugees, the UK could have an even better health service (from the muslim perspective this must sound like a cruel joke). Meanwhile, in each of these muslim countries, war has factionalized populations and the only real survival method for each faction is to struggle and hustle to live. Down to each family, whoever can offer a job - whether it be building IEDs, providing a safe house ir running guns theoufh checkpoints - it's a chance to survive.

From the muslim perspective - what have we done to deserve all of this? Surely we are being punished. Once we had great schools, fairly thriving economies, and that's all been replaced by a generation of war (one could take that same description/trajectory and apply since the arabic scientific enlightenment of the early medieval period). For some it seems that God is punishing them and rhe best way to make ammends is to live more closely to god's prescription. For others, their anger at having lost their family, or their home, or their country, is exactly the same as the way America reacted to 9/11: somebody needs to be made to pay for this. In the daily struggle for survival, they fight each other for scraps. In the grand scheme of things, they think we are the ones that brought this on them: we should be made to pay.

When you don't have access to runways, stealth fighters, laser guided tomahawk missiles, or cruisers to launch them from, strapping a bomb to yourself, renting a van and driving it through a crowd of people, using a countries own access to guns to mow down some of their people is about as effective as ine can be. It's desperate, and it's most often suicide. But if you've got nothing left to lose, have a lot of anger, and are told by even the puppets that the West has installed that glory awsits... well, why not? Maybe if the West feels enough loss then they will stop?

In short... religion has little to do with it. In every war, people of every religion or no religion at all are willing to sacrifice themselves for others. There'd be no such thing as a 'soldier' if they weren't. Religion is just a surface explanation for the elites on both sides forcing misery on an already desperate population, and that population wanting to fight for tevenge, for a better future, for their families, communities or their country. Some simply want a pay check (just like kids joining the army over here) in order to plant an IED because it seems like the only option to eat tomorrow.

As long as we think of them as less than human (silly muslims!) and as long as we are seen as a great satan (asshole infidels!) then it will continue. They will continue to be desperate. We will continue to be comfortable but complain about refugees and the NHS and their silly muslim battlecry. Meanwhile our elites will continue to make money hand over fist, as will the 'friends' in high places that we've chosen over there.

Last, if I'm not mistaken, Allah Akbar (or whatever variation) is no more proof that they're religious nutters any more than when any of us exclaim the Christian cries: Oh My God... or Jesus F***ing Christ! I'm atheist and am prone to saying those both quite a bit.
