O/T:- Babies and Bathwater

Mohicans were never part of the punk seen in 77. 78 , saw the Damned several times and the clash, loads of good bands, 999 eddie and the hotrods. Vibrators too many to name, hanging upstairs at selector disc, downstairs at virgin with the smell of weed smoke on Saturday afternoons, flying hoarse playhouse bar, then late at the venue up the lace market that I can't remember the name of.

The Sandpiper?

The Garage? Wow, Sandpipers, I spent a lot of time in there in my misspent youth. I remember being in there once ( pretty sure it was 1980 ) and a full-scale riot broke out with a bunch of skinheads which then spilt out onto Broadway. There were 2 coppers with their truncheons out ( yeah yeah ) trying to restore order before the meat wagons arrived and carted everyone off. Not much of a music venue but when I was 'home',I spent a lot of time in The Hippo which was on Bridlesmith Gate.
