Great article by Stevie Banks.

I think the pressure managers face in Scotland can come as a surprise to some.
But I think Micky Mellons is probably just at the right stage of his managerial trajectory to take us on.
McLaren and Wright have achieved everything they are going to as managers. Their managerial stars are well on the wane.
Malky is a rehabilitation job, and a risk.
As for Badger, big Jon et al - this is not a job for a rookie.
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of Micky Mellons.
If a managerial candidate was black, Chinese or gay and had a proven successful Premier league record I would welcome him to Dundee United with open arms. Perhaps its because I am more interested in the footballing side of things than the colour of their skin or for that matter if someone made several wrong comments in a text messages in 2013.
Personally didn't want Wright or any of the rookies but whoever it is i will trust that the club are looking to continue with the upward trend since their arrival.
Reading the Trannere forum it seems some poster thinks this is done and will be announced later today (rumours I know)
As for the Malky episode my point in a previous rant was for fans to support the decision made by the club whether he got appointed or not, its up to the club to contemplate any pros and cons of any new recruit
sending emails is out of line.
Oops your right - sorry. I didn't read it properly.
If he was picking me in his team for footballing reasons. FINE.
If I wasn't being picked? Would I think I wasn't being picked because of non-footballing reasons? PROBLEM. (I might blame that on any manager - I am great but..... I'm not being picked for some other reason .....).
I do get your point though.
