If not you changed "key game" to "outstanding achievement" you crafty little swine but tbh it was really easy to spot because they mean two completely different things lol.

A playoff semi final, especially a one legged version is a key game ? A must win game? I'm sure you will agree Ken?

    Morning Frank
    Oh dear Frank...
    To reiterate,
Your disciples keep waving the Barnet win like a flag of honour.
I'm not wasting my time digging up old posts, infact your disciples are still on about it.
Now I'm sure they're only doing this as they believe the result was an outstanding win in a key game.
Key game yes,but a win against a depleted squad and team is certainly no achievement.
Along with those teams that are a bunch of part timers.
I'm sure we all love and know Ardleys approach by now,you know, the one that got us relegated.
Keep it tight, play for a point and if we steal a win great.
Now this is not the attitude to adopt in must win games, semi finals or finals.
That's why he has lost all his key games, except the Barnet one where they had a decimated squad.
Happy new christmas.....Hot miss piggy lips...xxx

Not to mention Sutton, Hartlepool, and Stockport that are also in our mix

We will have a much clearer view after we have played Torquay the 23rd January
I agree with what you say and I am glad that you recognise I said it is a tall order.

I see it that there are 2 options, we either proclaim Torquay as champions now (if not them then anyone but us) or we see there are 30 games left to go, stay positive, get behind the team and see where it takes us.

I think we will fall just short of automatic and anything could happen in the play-offs. If we fail then it is time for a new approach next season.

I will go for option 2

Why get rid of Ardley - he will get there in the end?? Why not stay with Nolan or Curle at least managers who had shown promise

    Certainly not us.
Those proclaiming that we have to play them twice, expect a hard fought point at the lane and a defeat on the coast.
It was nice while it lasted thinking (dreaming) that we would take 6 points off them.
Can we have a show of hands if anyone actually thinks we will take 6 points of them.
Yes I know in theory we can .
But in theory there still time for me to the moon, but I'm not holding my breath.

Mr Bruce, you a clearly avoiding the question. Who said it was an "outstanding achievement"? You don't have to find the quote, just name and shame. I know you aren't shy.

At least you have accepted it was a key game, a couple of Pitchforkers still don't consider a play off semi final as a key game. Can you believe that? Because we didn't lose that one, how comically convenient.

Best price 11/8 on the Devon outfit winning the title, so you aren't going to make a fortune from that bet but they are clear favourites.

Tbh Ken I'm not sure I can place too much weight on your predictions following your prediction of NA being sacked after 11 games. Wishful thinking?#noagenda

You may just have to wait until the end of the season chap xx

This could change and quickly. Torquay have 3 very tough fixtures next with Solihull, us and Sutton. If they lost all 3 then all of a sudden they are back among the pack. It’s not unreasonable to think they could lose all 3 given there form over the last 4/5 games.

Funny that you mention 3 other teams being in the mix of which we beat 2 of them, yet we don’t seem to have a chance because we haven’t gone on a winning run. We still have a shed load of games to put this right. With all our top players due back and the fact we have the chance to bring in a player or 2, it’s not inconceivable that we start catching up.

Sutton have 4 games in hand of Torquay (who have only won 2 of their last 5 games) and would go joint top of they won them. The league is that tight that Solihull in 17th have 2 games in hand of us and would go above us if they won them.
There are only a couple of form teams at present, Boreham Wood (unbeaten in 4) and Chesterfield(unbeaten in 5).
Mind you Hartlepool have won the last 3 games including beating us.

Tut tut Elite there is really no need to resort to using naughty abusive words when you don't like reading the truth about yourself on here. What a disappointing way you've started 2021

Try derailing fewer threads this year with your seemingly endless desire for personal spats. It's a Notts County message board after all let's keep it on topic and we will all benefit.
