I'm furious! Damn you Mark Cooper , damn you

Don't worry BFP I'm sure there will be future rumours and accompanying threads about him becoming a manager at another club.

So plenty more opportunities to discuss his time at Notts just in case we've not covered every aspect#viva

Quite stupid winding people up though when your mission is to rid the board of petty arguments and you are the instigator of them wouldn't you think.
    True story dat...!
    Choooo choooo
I think barrow should go for Sol instead of Ardley
    Great game yesterday.!

But, has discussed many times time before, there were many other things going on in the background which made his job a greater challenger. I also think that he did a better than average job last season. But, I do concede that the PO final was very disappointing. This season, although in a reasonable position in the league, flattered to deceive. We had more points than our performances warranted. In terms of change, I believe the owners made the right decision.

I have no issue with people disagreeing with any of the above. What I don’t like, this is what comes across in your posts, is the hate and bitterness. Whatever your opinion of Ardley’s management capabilities, I believe that during his tenure with Notts he tried his very best. I accept this was not good enough. But, NA doesn’t warrant the some of the comments aimed his way, my opinion.

Moving on to big games. You have suggested this before and other posters have highlighted flaws in this argument, myself included. I’m not for one minute suggesting NA won all big games. But to argue a PO semi is not a big game, regardless of opposition, is ridiculous.

NA, worst Notts manager ever? There’s an argument/stats the would suggest that’s correct. As I’m sure there are stats that would suggest otherwise. What’s missing, contexts.

Allardyce comparison? I’ve never made that comparison.
    Well said

It's old ground that has been re-hashed for the ump****th time hoping for a different result but ultimately has gone absolutely nowhere. Quite apt really.

This approach was totally unacceptable at Notts, even during our relegation season. We rarely played sides that had a larger paying budget than us throughout NA's tenure but you would not know this by watching the games. I really don't know why some Notts fans could not and still do not see this - it takes all sorts I suppose.
It seems Ardley lovers refuse to admit hes a poor manager.Even now where they can see it with their own eyes or hear it with their own ears a team transformed by coaching alone still seems to escape their attention.
Oh hang on hes signed two players both players signed due to injuries. No the transformation is down to new coaching so what does that say about the old coaching?
Lovely guy 5h1t manager..now before everyone says I'm biased I was actually glad when he was appointed

Pedro why can’t you just let people have their own opinions instead of trying to make them concede to your views? A lot of Notts fans think he did an ok job, doesn’t make them Ardley lovers/disciples. Wimbledon’s board must have thought he was ok, keeping him on for 6 years which is a rarity now a days and probably a bigger rarity lasting more than 2 years at Notts. He’s gone now, we’re all happy how we are now playing and all hoping it will last for a long time.

In your opinion yes we get it, I'm sure nobody is confused by your stance. Others will select other managers for the title.

The one thing they all have in common is they are ex-managers. I doubt he will ever manage Notts again so you've got nowt to worry about Davy

Now looking forward are you on the Burchnall bandwagon or not ?

Not opinion, who was the manager that relegated us, who was the manager for 2 years in the national league that poor sides were out witting?
Ardley has gone over 2 years too late, maybe its you and the other Ardley brigade that should stop singing his praises, and move on

MattM of course we are entitled to our opinions even me.You have got to admit that IB has turned a dour team into an attacking free flowing football team with the same players that NA had at his disposal.
Its it a coincidence or better coaching?
That's all im saying let people digest and cogitate that information and compute it anyway they like.
For me he was 5h1te but then again I'm not a wimbledon fan just a notts fan and who saw how his negativity has bought this club to its knees.
He introduced us to none league football and defeats to teams I've never heard off and respected the point at the likes of Dover..!
Hes had the best backing of any notts manager for many moons ( real money not munto)and done foook all with it.
One thing is for sure I'm excited about the future of this club now whereas under NA it was we were crap but a points a point or a wins a win just plodding along doing enough to be top 7...
Nowhere near good enough for this club but if you feel that's what type of club we are so be it your welcome to your opinion many of NA fans seemed to be happy with it.
