If indeed a manager not being able to finish a season is a "failure in itself" we've had lots and lots of failures / failed managers in the past. The #noagenda crew infatuated by Ardley even when he's gone seem to conveniently forget all these previous failures they speak as if we've not had disappointing seasons, relegation seasons before.

Now that's strange if you are a true Notts fan cos as a club and set of supporters we've had more of those than most.

WTF has this paragraph of tripe got to do with Ardley being good or bad ? two things to confirm how good or bad he was are ,
One - Sol Campbell do I need to explain that anymore ?
Two - IB taking the same squad of players and turning them from a dour defensive stumbling stuttering team into an exciting free flowing football out fit to be feared.
I would love it if any of the Ardley fans who says he's a good manager (still) would like to explain that transformation please.

Maybe it's because nearly every thread gets hijacked by a few people who evidently can't stand each other. This board has been immensely improved for me since I put Laddo on my ignore list. If I were to add a couple more names, it would probably get even better. The remaining problem though, would be that if I wished to read what people had to say about Sutton United (the subject of this thread in case you've forgotten) I'd have to sift through four**** pages (and counting) of "This message is hidden because so-and-so is on your ignore list." All because you and a handful of others can't - as bule1 put it - let it go.

By the way, the Cambridge English Dictionary defines "spat" as "a short argument, usually about something that is not important". The key word is short. This bickering and name-calling has been going on for many months now, and nothing changes - not the content, nor the outcome. Do you really think that you're going to get Laddo to change his mind or shut up?

There are some really good posters on here who know their football, are thoughtful, amusing and worth reading. You've written sensible posts yourself. We've already lost our only (long-suffering) moderator because of all the bickering, and the sensible, interesting posts are drowning in a sea of childish nonsense. Please stop.

You can go on and on trying to defend him in an effort to convince yourself that you were right about him all along, but it'll be you that ends up more deluded than you already are, It'll have zero effect on people with a grasp on the reality of the situation.

Unfortunately, we're all still having to live with the consequences of his tenure so he continues to cast a very dark shadow over the place. Hopefully not for much longer. Then we can forget about him, though sadly I suspect the likes of you will want to give him credit for somebody else's success and this **** show will continue.

It's changed then. I think that most people thought that the target this year was promotion (and most of us said that if we didn't get that, Ardley should be sacked - even those you call pro-Ardley).

That he wasn't good enough to get us promotion this season is not fact, it is an opinion. If he was not sacked, there was a chance we could have been promoted (that is a fact).

He failed twice and was not able to prove whether or not he would have failed three times. That's a fact, not an opinion.

Yeah theres also a chance fullarton would get us promoted to, after all we will never know

When it comes to Pedro it appears that the 'ignore' feature has failed even more than the former Notts County manager Neal Ardley.
