They tried to get other Championship clubs - I think they were close at Hull and Middlesbrough.
But thankfully for us they ended up at Barnsley.

I think Barnsley was a perfect match for these owners - because Patrick and James knew they couldn’t continue down the line of trying to bring in tried and tested players.
That strategy resulted in Keith Hill saying Barnsley were shopping at Lidl’s.

So Patrick and James started to change things - and these owners have built on what was started.

Football club owners have lost millions - and as the saying goes - if you want to turn a rich man into a poor man - then ask the rich man to buy a football club.

Im guessing that our owners dont see it that way.
I think they see the enormous amount of silly money swilling about in football - and they have bought a club cheaply and are developing young players so they can tap into that silly money.
And while developing players - the club is becoming stronger and also increasing in value.
It’s a win win for the owners.
And as the players increase in value it’s a win win for the supporters.
