Best nan bread recipe ever (Ive tried well over 12 )
Plain flour (or Maida flour if you can get in from an Indian grocers as its finer)
2 TBLS of Ghee melted
1 TBLS Sugar
2 TBLS salt
1 egg
2 TABLS (any)
half a cup of warm water
yeast
1. put the yeast and sugar in the warm water and leave for 10-15 mins (it goes mental)
2. Add all ingredients into the bowl and mix...no kneading reqd.
3. leave for 2 hours until doubled or trebled in size
4. roll into 6-8 balls
5. heat dry pan to max
6. cook both sides and watch the magic happen
tried it with creme Frech, yogurt in all combinations this produces the best results...FACT!

.....Late night snacking has to be a cream crackers (only Jacobs), a strong cheddar cheese and either a dollop of branston pickle on the cracker (which has to be buttered first) or a plate full of silverskin oinons.
