I think everyone should get the vaccine, especially when it has been reported that the vaccine has reduced transmission. But everyone is entitled to do what they see fit and should be willing to submit to testing if they want to mingle with the masses.

Everyone gets hung up on the vaccine doing what it is intended to and stopping people getting this really bad, and this is all we see in the press. When good news stories come along about transmission, it is mentioned a couple of times and never again and is missed by all the surrounding reports of bad news. It makes sense to me that if a vaccine stops the vulnerable dying, those less at risk from going to hospital, then maybe it will stop the masses catching and transmitting this virus.

It has been scientifically proven that it does not reduce transmission so the only benefit is a personal one of reduced risk of disease severity,

Good on them. It’s the threat of doing something like this which will hopefully highlight the ludicrous crowd ‘cap’ and show it up for the nonsense that it is. Why not fight fire with fire? The fact that it’s SCOTLAND that’s considering it and not just one individual Club will heap on a load of political pressure, of that I’ve no doubt. Only the threat of losing votes gives leverage these days it seems.

The current available vaccines are not intended to rid us of the virus, that takes years to develop, although can still be developed from one of the current vaccines.

Maybe we have tied up with Fulham to play our home matches at Craven Cottage.I bet far more than 500 would attend.

Traditional viruses use the whole virus/bacteria after it has been deactivated in sone way so the body can make responses to all different parts of the virus/bacteria.

Covid vaccines only expose the body to the spike protein, not the whole virus. There are established vaccines that do this too for other diseases but mostly they have needed tweaked and improved over time to work optimally.

There’s more on it here if you are interested: https://www.niaid.nih.gov/research/vaccine-types

True apart from ‘intended’. You might remember that when the vaccines first came out the statement was that the trial results showed reduced disease severity but it was not known whether it would reduce transmission.

If they were never intended to stop transmission then a even less reason to introduce vaccine passports etc
