Humphreys since his injury played like he was still getting over that or his thoughts were on his move to stay in the championship next season. Odoffin I'd sooner keep.

Takes most players 5 or 6 games to get match fit after a pre season. After an injury like he had I thought he did pretty well to come back and look competitive, Especially compared to the effort Blackett made to get back and fit.

Do you think he means perm or perm&loans?

so if 3 more leave we could be talking about another 7, it will be interesting to watch
Doesn't matter really if they are perm or loans. We're only allowed 22 over 21 year old outfield players.

I can't recall many under 21 Evans has signed who were any good for us. Some great players who went on to better things but not whilst here.

Think PK will go and maybe CT. Not sure about any others.
Btw I got the impression from Evans interview over the hugill rumours that he wouldn't be bothered if a Offer came in for him

Well whoever was sniffing have missed the boat and so as Humphries for invoking his relegation clause as it lapsed today. This means if he goes now he leaves if the club say so, and he goes for what we want, not him and his agent.

Let's hope he's been giving it some thought and has been impressed by the recruitment and fancies being part of the set up this coming season.

I'm sure I was also told Hugill has the same set up and if true, then his right to invoke anything also finished today and Evo will want to sit down with both players to get things sorted.

We've got 2 centre backs in Odoffin who was our best in that position last season. Hull could be a 4th so that makes Humphreys surplus how I see it.

If they have let the clauses expire that would imply they want to stay, because now the club has the dominant position. For Humphreys it could be that he knows he is a free agent next summer and the agent believes he will be better playing out his contract and getting a better deal then. If they want to play then that is good for us as both players will do well at L1 level

Derbs, I could never see Hugill walking away from his bumper wage packet. No other club would pay him the same so I feel the money has spoken on this one. As for Humphries, if his agent has told him to see his contract out and, IF we are doing really well after the Xmas/ New Years Day fixtures, then the club may decide to sell him first in the January window, rather than see him leave on a free like so many other players have done.

Like I said, IF we are doing really well then the better outcome would be to enter contract negotiations with him and his agent. It's a long hard upcoming season so Humphries has to prove himself once again, which he is more than capable of doing. I would like to see him take an extended contract with us, he has a lot to offer.

Odoffin was a useful back up but was chaotic and clearly couldn't sustain that position.
    Hull is a complete unknown.
Having a weird chip on your shoulder about Cam Humphreys doesn't mean it's sensible to ditch your best player and have a midfielder and an untested kid as your squad depth. Did we learn nothing from last season?

Do you want rid of Humphreys because you think it's sensible to cash in now rather than let him run his contract down, or do you just not rate him?

Brin I don't know if Humphries has an option same as Odoffin & Rathbone when his contract runs out but think the 2 signings at centre back we've made says he'll be leaving if we get the right offer before the new season starts. I'd sooner Odoffin stay centre back looks his position but not out of place in midfield.
