Many fans were writing off DM. Amazing what a couple of starts and a few goals does.
Take away Jatta's goals (one was clearly offside), and he'd have nothing in the bank.
Such is the life of a striker.

Scotty was clearly in a degree of pain / discomfort long before the final whistle.
Forced to stay on the pitch and being another case of "Deja Vue ?"
As for the comment posted at 9.13 am , I assume this was an attempt at humour rather than an example of being a proper supporter ?
He wasn’t forced to stay on the pitch though that was said last season too against Tranmere.

We made our subs but he could have come off but for all we know he might be fine for next week let’s hope so and be positive.

Cedwyn Scott has been out for a year and in his first proper game back was dumped out wide on the left wing, which clearly isn't his position. He's then had a few substitute appearances that can only get you so far in terms of recovering match speed. He got in the right position for a chance yesterday but sadly put it wide, much to his frustration, but it's understandable due to his comparative lack of match sharpness.

Scott is unlucky that he's probably third in the queue for one place up front behind McGoldrick and Jatta at the present time, but there will be few if any teams in this league who have a striker as good as Cedwyn effectively sitting third in their depth chart. Just remember, he was only four goals behind Macauley Langstaff at Gateshead, he was a regular goalscorer for us in the National League, and he's young enough to come back strongly from the bad injury he suffered last year.

I know it's the football fan mentality - "What have you done for me lately?" - but fans really should be less ready to write-off good players, especially when those players have made such a significant contribution to get us here.
    Very good and sensible post.
Some of the other critics should take note and show some respect for the lad and appreciate the qualities and value of Sam Austin too !

Quite right, he could have walked off but I was watching the situation closely and the directive from the bench was clearly to carry on !

Well if he felt it was bad you’d just come off he is a tough lad and probably didn’t wanna let the team down and perhaps thought he could carry on.

I guess it depends what he told our bench as he didn’t get treatment most players would drop to the ground and get treatment.

    Hopefully he is fine.

He needs a goal - even if it is just a tap in.

He does and he might be trying bit too hard at times like when he cuts off left and shoots he did that yesterday when it wasn’t best option.

Still he is still a young guy and we might see best of him next year and people may not want to hear that !

This is a time to back all the players now as we can’t change anything till Jan.

The comment posted earlier was making an observation that Scott was holding his groin well before the board went up for injury time and was not shown to be humorous at all…in fact it has put a bit of a downer on the day because the lad just wants to get fit again and fight for a place in the team….what the hell has that got to do with being a proper supporter?

They are all around us and noting our every move so that come Judgement Day we can be cast aside and banished to a place suitable and befitting just a supporter..... the Family Stand!

I'm worried about Scott's injuries and performance but I think it's way too early to write him off. Crazy talk.
