At least that's the suffering in the league over for this year.
Watching that today was this season in 90 minutes, in control and leading at the start and then a monumental demise which culminates in us leaving with a defeat. Who would've thought that when you're completely on top and dominating that not taking your chances would come back to haunt you? We should've been 3-4 to the good before they scored but AFC do what AFC do and let the opposition in and once that happens our players arses drop, all too predictable especially when there is something on the line.
I really struggle to think of which players deserve to be here next season, I guess Jensen, Knoesters, Palaversa, Polvara would get saved but as for all the rest....... I wouldn't care one bit if after next Saturday they never put on the strip again. Whether it's players like Clarkson and Shinnie who have constantly bottled it over couple seasons or Mitov and Gueye who just aren't good at all then it's a summer possibly like no other.
I have no idea as I haven't looked into it but how many of our total squad have winners medals next to their name? Shinnie obviously has but who else? Either top flight league wins in each respective country or Scottish/League cup equivalents from previous countries. I'd imagine it's not that many and that is a big part of our problem, we're filled with a squad full of also-rans, runners ups, or not even close players. They don't know how to get over the line and it shows big time.
I only hope Jimmy, if he's still here next season, has identified these types of players, regardless of age, to instil an actual winning mentality and not just players who like to spout off about what they'll achieve and in reality win hee-haw
