According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports in Germany, Newcastle United striker William Osula and Eintracht Frankfurt have reached a 'verbal agreement' in principle over a January move.

The forward is reportedly keen to join the Bundesliga side, who are suggesting an initial loan with an option to buy worth around ?20m, plus a loan fee of ?3m.

While the two clubs are now thought to be in contact, no final agreement has been reached on the package. The decision on Osula's winter exit now rests with Newcastle United.

I personally think this could potentially be a short-sighted move as could back-fire on us.

However, I totally get him wanting first team football and fact Gordon has been played over him as a striker, is maybe telling for him.

If he does go and we get 3 million euro loan fee and 20 million euro fee that adds up to 23 million euros which is ?20.2 million, which would be ?5 million profit on what we bought him for.
