Can tell who the wind up or knuckled rangers are on this thread
Remember going there a couple of seasons ago and getting done 4 or 5 nil?
The players and management got less stick for that than they are getting for last night.
I’m not sure what’s changed or why some fans have become much more victory driven over the last few years.
Unfortunately there's a pattern developing in that the opposition get two goals in the first twenty minutes and then it's game over because they know we don't have the quality to overhaul that kind of deficit. It's happened quite a few times recently
It must be the easiest instructions a visiting scout will write for any upcoming games. Cardiff will have done the same.
It's ok saying we competed in the second half but we were already heading for defeat being 0-2 down and the opposition had us largely where they wanted us to be. If it was a draw at HT then they would have done things a lot differently like Brentford did.
ITS a shame that Hirst hasnt clicked for us because that could have really changed our fortunes but alas it has not worked out. We need to try and address that in the transfer window but it's getting harder now as we're seriously on the back foot regarding safety
I think last night was fairly straightforward to analyse. When Barnsley were direct we coped pretty comfortably but for the two goals we allowed the better players to punish us. Mowatt on the ball, Woodrow makes a semi decent run which isnt blocked, straight ball kills us and he scores easily. Second goal styles gets all the space in the world down our right after a really ill timed turnover by Wiles, he passes to Mowatt and a quality finish. Basically their best 3 players made the difference and we allowed it through mistakes. Small margins as we had nowt else to really worry us all game. Pleasantly surprised that we didnt look fatigued particularly and, whilst we huffed and puffed, they were comfortable. Wiles does great work down the left considering he is very unnatural there but still runs down blind alleys, dont blame him for that because its just not his position, as hard as he tries. Hirst and Flo back in Jan for me and see who else we can get. Vass runs hard and puts pressure on but never looks dangerous, that extra few percent of quality unfortunately lacking
