Romared Match Thoughts Barnsley v Peterborough United

I reckon we need at least 5 wins to keep ourselves out of the bottom 4 and I hope tonight is one of them .

This is not the time of the season to be on a winless run because at least one team maybe two who currently reside in the bottom four will probably haul themselves clear .

    Be lucky Connor .

We have not lost at home in the league this year so lets hope that continues, I have just put my thermals on as I am not confident that the football will keep me warm , anyway just going to set off in a minute , my confidence is not high especially with Okeefe being preffered to Watson but hey ho off I go !!!

Looking back it proved the right decision to put on the old thermals and brave the elements to see us battle to gain the points at Oakwell last night . It was not the best of starts as we predictably presented the Posh with the opener with our keeper cocking up but in fairness to him he did not let it bother him and went on to play the rest of the game in a very competent manner and played well , we gradually knocked on the door and got a well earned equaliser , the second half started well with a well worked goal and a very good finish from Clearey who had an in and out performance but still brought the quality to the game when it mattered , we duly saw out the game without any real scares and took the points. In my opinion I thought O"Connel played well at the back and McGoldrick continues to defy his age with another very good performance but the MOM in my opinion was Connel , who scored an excellent goal plus he covered every blade of grass on the pitch and continually throughout got us on the front foot with some quality passing , Kelly also in my opinion played very well for 75 minutes until he started to tire but all in all I think we just about deserved the points which means we are still unbeaten at home since the turn of the year. I would also make a special mention for the ref who I thought was the best we have had at Oakwell this season and I suppose if your dad was a certain Trevor Kettle then you have a reputation to live up to , thankfully he is building his reputation for the right reasons !!!
