          • Looks like a swan to me.

I actually had some tadger in the pub years go, trying to convince folk that he saw a swan flying

They can fly if they haven't had their wings clipped. Not very high or far but they can fly.

Anyway it's definitely a Pelican. The Gordonians youngsters team are called the "Pelicans".

Few years back I was out for a run heading along the canal bank in Inverness.
I heard this weird "swoosh.....swoosh......swoosh....." noise, weird noise.

It was swan flying over head, it was shifting.........what a size they are when they stretch the wingspan.

I wouldnae fu ck wi a swan.

Idiots. Mason's correct, swans cannae fly. What you thought was a swan was actually a white goose. They can fly.

                            • Yeah, I walked by a nesting swan the other day. You often see them up trees. Flying swans, whatever next

                              • Swan is a bit generic as there are many species.

We have mostly Mute swans over here. There is now a debate to whether they have evolved into a non flying bird. But at the moment the are known and classed as the heaviest flying bird on the go

Personally i have never seen a swan in the air.
