They never wanted that amount and agreed on 12. The problem was the rule of so many English players on the list, and Longstaff was going to put them on the negative side. It's like us not letting Meslier go till we get a replacement.

Leeds United are delighted to announce the signing of Sean Longstaff, who joins the club from Newcastle United for an undisclosed fee.
