I don’t think the average voter will research, if you live in Nottingham you go off what they’ve done which is frankly abysmal, Robin Hood Energy, The Tram, Student Accomodation etc, and that’s at a local level. If anyone thinks it’s going to be better under a Labour government they are deluded, as OP67 they are all as bad as each other IMO.

You do realise they under fund labour run councils for the exact reason you have stated.! Looks like you fell into their well off propoganda.Originally posted by OP67 View PostGod help the working class then as they'll be taxed even higher than they already are. You only have to look at Labour run councils to see corruption and bad financing, NCC is just one of many.
They're all as bad as each other fella.

Here's proof:Originally posted by Magpies1959 View PostI am thinking you have proof of the Conservative government under funding Labour councils. This money is also only a proportion of their budgets, so no excuse really for running out of cash.
Exclusive: analysis by Guardian and Sigoma shows poorer, Labour-held areas lost over a third of spending power
And here's Sunak in his own words:

Of course there is. If the Govt cut by say £50m and they have been just breaking even, where does the cash come from to make up the shortfall? The stats in the previous post are pretty condemning. 38 Labour councils have budget cuts compared to 5 Conservative.Originally posted by Magpies1959 View PostI am thinking you have proof of the Conservative government under funding Labour councils. "A fund intended to boost the UK’s most deprived places appears overwhelmingly skewed towards Tory-held areas, with dozens of Conservative regions in the top tier for assistance despite being relatively affluent, a Guardian analysis has found.
Among 93 English regions placed in the priority group of three tiers to receive money from the £4.8bn levelling up fund, 31 are included while not being ranked as in the top third most deprived places by average deprivation score.
Of these 31, 26 are entirely represented by Conservative MPs, with the others having at least one Tory MP."
[....]
The chancellor announced £1bn in extra money for an existing towns fund, intended to help struggling areas. Of the 45 new grants unveiled this week, 39 will go to towns with a Conservative MP.
Finally, a community renewal fund, with a total spend of £220m, will also benefit Sunak’s Richmondshire region. In all, seven areas represented by cabinet ministers are among the 100 areas targeted for help.

Look no further than our own council that has had its budget slashed by over 40% in the last decade.Originally posted by Magpies1959 View PostI am thinking you have proof of the Conservative government under funding Labour councils.
