My apologies I understood his contract ran out this year but that?s good for you in that you don?t have to cash in early but I suspect Sam may have his eyes on a move anyway if offers come in? I don?t know if Wanderers are interested in him or not but I?d definitely take him for ?1m, we?ve paid more for worse.Originally posted by mellowmiller View PostNombe's contract runs to 30th June 2027.

The point I?m making is that there will only be a finite amount of players available to us in this window, we are not likely to sign anybody other than loans, the ones who are readily available have probably mostly gone now ? The rest will have to be prised from other clubs with attractive loan arrangements, so yes it?s definitely a numbers game and Doncaster and Chesterfield are two of our competitors who have snapped up players from a diminishing pool of players.Originally posted by mygiddypant View PostSo is it a numbers game for you?
Have you actually looked at what they've signed?

Why's Etete still here? Waste of a loan. Another thing we don't need 2 who feed off a big forward like Whatmore & Ryan One both been rumoured we're in for. Just one of them with a target man type forward which we haven't had all season required.

would be a ideal player, for Nombie to feed off.
But can't see that happening, Smith's club P N End in the promotion race, so will need him.
Come the end of the season I would think Smith will be looking for another club.

Strange, he was a used sub (60 mins) for Huddersfield Town today.Reported Ben Wiles having a medical atOriginally posted by avondalemiller View PostWiles coming back? They would want too much. It would take investment on the scale he chucked at Taylor and Evans.
..........and that folks, is why we are where we are today. You can blame MH as much as you want, but it's not his fault there's no money.
We were always know has a club being run excellent on it's finances, all of a sudden over the last few years we've ran up debt of ?5M/ ?7M. We've only got Nombe as saleable, and thats not going to clear very much.
Paul Warne's MK Dons, a fee been agreed with Huddersfield Town.

You may find Etite will disappear when 2 strikers come in. :-)Originally posted by RU66 View PostWhy's Etete still here? Waste of a loan. Think we must be hoping Bradford city games called off can't see that if they want it on. Nombe could be back but they won't risk him. Hall will be fit. Not sure about James & Gore they're a miss. Still no height up front good enough. You can't change it round without additions that can add to the squad.
I'd play Ayres up front before Etete.

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Grant said -
" The club has been presented with a substantial offer, for the services of the player
in their final year of contract with us, so it's a deal that makes total sense to complete. "
Huddersfield Town making sure they get a return on a player near the end of their contract.
Pity the Millers didn't have anyone with football sense on the board, with the players we
let run down their contracts, & leave for nothing.
