Without Mandela and the ANC behaving in a way which many found reprehensible forty or fifty years ago might we not still have Apartheid and without the Suffragettes causing the outrage they did...would women not still be second class citizens?
Yes there has to be a bit of serious 'push' to make progress against those who thrive on the status quo. But the scales now seem to be tipping too much the other way. The sentiment amongst (I use the word at risk) 'normal' people seems to be 'yes we get it, now PLEASE give it a rest for a while'.
