Whilst I agree with the sentiment entirely, your contract law point is factually incorrect, it depends entirely on the terms of the contract and terms of dismissal especially with fixed term contracts (used in football). And football contracts are arguably slightly more binding as they contain a registration element without which, you cannot play for another club.

But you are right aside from that, nearly everyone on this board would change jobs for significantly more money.

In that, football is no different, except in the eyes of fans.
