Is that really the best you can come up with?

You've made a complete tw@t of yourself, but you don't have the guts to face up to it.

That depends on your definition of the word 'militant'. I like this one:

        militant

        adjective
favouring confrontational methods in support of a political or social cause.

Without militants women might not have the vote and homo***uality would still be illegal. On the basis that Muslim militants could be for or against the more extreme interpretations of their religion, as long as they avoid violence they might have a role to play.

            • So from reading a variety of news reports from all sides it seems the trouble at the "hate mob" march in London yesterday was mainly caused by far right protestors including Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, who prefers to go by the good old English name of Tommy Robinson. It seems a double-barreled surname wouldn't appeal to the far right! Even the PM admitted it:

"Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said those involved in crimes must face the full force of the law, with the "despicable actions of a minority of people" undermining "those who have chosen to express their views peacefully". He added that "EDL [English Defence League] thugs attacking police and trespassing on the Cenotaph" war memorial had disrespected the honour of the UK's armed forces".

So these 'True Brits' were the ones who disrespected the honour of the UK's armed forces!!! If there is just a tiny shred of decency left in this hopeless government Suella Braverman will be the ex-Home secretary tomorrow.

I thought the EDL didn’t exist anymore?

Wasn't their motive to protect the Cenotaph?

Supposedly, but it didn't quite work out like that:

"On Saturday, the Met's Assistant Commissioner Matt Twist said the violence directed towards officers was "extraordinary and deeply concerning", with nine injured after counter-protesters clashed with police. They arrived early, stating they were there to protect monuments, but some were already intoxicated, aggressive and clearly looking for confrontation," he said.

                    • Only you EP. I guess you didn't see the photo if the two coppers posing with a young kid looking like a clone of a Hamas terrorist. Or the coppers using batons to strike two English guys. I really do not want to live in the country, we are heading for, where the police beat up Brits, because they outnumber them on protests, but leave the anti Brits/Israelis, with hate placards and chants, because they are out numbered.

                      • Good also to see all the free Palestine 'peace' marchers proudly displaying their poppies.

You're right, I didn't see it. Post a link and I'll willingly take a look.

Didn't see that either. Again, a link would be appreciated.

If you want to leave the country, I'll happily pay for your ticket out.

As long as it's one way.

Just like the Nazis strutting around the cenotaph - not a poppy in sight. The poppy police should be knocking on their doors.
BTW do you know most Palestinians dress like that child. They don't wear bowler hats you know or you probably don't.
