Whatever you make of the results and league position, I think there's a fair amount of consensus amongst Notts fans that Maynard's brand of football is tough to watch, and that's putting it politely. There’s a reason the crowd’s support generally starts off strong, before the ground quickly turns into a library - the lack of anything to cheer on the pitch. Didzy is the only one who’s able to produce something special - his nutmeg and curled shot that just deflected wide in the first half was a thing of beauty.

For me, all of these recent home loses just highlight how much we’ve missed Dan Crowley. I’m glad the owners reportedly made a lot of money on the sale to MK Dons, but it may well cost us promotion in such a weak year.
